After graduation, Carrie moved to California to pursue her dreams of being a “California girl” and worked for the Walt Disney Company. There, she met her future husband who also worked for Disney in New York City. After a whirlwind courtship and accumulated frequent flyer miles, Aaron asked Carrie to move to NYC. She relocated and after learning her way around the big city, she resumed her career with Disney. There she honed her craft working in the events sales department of the ESPNZone. After spending a few years in New York, a huge change had taken place, and the blue water and white sand of California was calling once again. Days were spent selling and planning events and evenings were spent coordinating them. Carrie found her calling working for the two leading sports entertainment companies, where she was encouraged by the satisfaction and enjoyment of the guests and the accomplishment of a job well done. Soon they were planning for their own wedding. Even with years of experience in planning events Carrie soon realized the challenges of choosing locations, finding caterers, arranging flowers, and dealing with the worst of wedding planners. Her experience and artistic talent was put to use to plan and execute the perfect wedding weekend. A few years passed and they decided to move back to the Valley of the Sun to start a new chapter of their lives with their ever growing family. Here Carrie has worked with the events industry’s leading professionals and has executed many events to the satisfaction of their clients and guests. After being asked countless times to assist in wedding plans, invitations and décor, Carrie decided to start Sterling Events Design to provide her services to the desperate and exhausted brides, executives and charities in and around the valley.
