After graduation, Carrie moved to California to pursue her dreams working for the Walt Disney Company.   There, she met her future husband who also worked for Disney in New York City.   After a whirlwind courtship and accumulated frequent flyer miles, Carrie transfered to NYC.   There she honed her craft working in events sales. After spending a few years in New York, the blue water and white sand of California was calling once again.

Days were spent selling and planning events and evenings were spent coordinating them.  Carrie found her calling working for the leading sports entertainment company, where she was encouraged by the satisfaction and enjoyment of the guests and the accomplishment of a job well done.  Soon Aaron and Carrie were planning for their own wedding.  Even with years of experience in planning events Carrie soon realized the challenges of choosing locations, finding caterers, arranging flowers, and dealing with the worst of wedding vendors. Her experience and artistic talent was put to use to plan and execute the perfect wedding weekend. 

A few years passed and they decided to move to Phoenix to start a new chapter of their lives with their beautiful growing family.  Locally, Carrie has worked with many of the event industry’s leading professionals and has executed hundreds of events to the satisfaction of her clients and their guests.   In 2007, she decided to launch Sterling Event Design, she wanted an opportunity to assist Brides, Corporate Planners, and Non-Profits in creating beautiful events seamlessly.  Here she is given the chance to utilize her creativity, organizational skills, and years of experience, and she has never been happier!


Michelle Molino received her many years of event planning experience working alongside Carrie in California and Arizona, also working with the Walt Disney Company.  Together they worked tirelessly executing events for corporate and social parties then Carrie started planning her own wedding.  Michelle was the one working with Carrie making favors, tying bows, creating seating charts.  She was the best friend a girl could have, Michelle alway greeted each challenge with a smile and "what can I help with".  It was at Carrie's wedding she met the love of her life and eventually moved to Arizona.  Carrie and Michelle have worked side by side for 7 years, for the last 3 years Michelle has been the BEST wedding and event manager assisting hundreds of Brides achieve their wedding day bliss. 


Tristan Newton, what can we say about Tristan?  She is everyone's favorite gal, she is one of the kindest and genuine people you could ever meet.  Along with her wedding assistant credentials, I think she may hold a title for being a bridesmaid some 10 times and she is only 24!  We love having Tristan on our team, she is creative, always up for a challenge, and loves making friends with everyone, she will probably even know someone at your wedding or event.  It is bittersweet that she will not be a long time staple as Tristan is fulfilling her dream and attending Paul Mitchell and will soon be able to assist our Brides with updo's and beautiful hairstyles.  Hopefully we can convince her to assist at least one event a week.

Micki Bessken, Micki has a 40+years of business management and accounting.  She works hard keeping the office running, making sure the bills are paid and organizing files.  She works hard behind the scenes making sure our vendor files are constantly up to date and negotiating the best deals for our Clients.  Without Micki, work would be a lot less exciting as we would spend 50% of our time digging ourselves out of paperwork, and for this I am eternally grateful.

We cannot forget to offer the credit to Aaron and Jordan Schmidt.  They allow me to do this, they are the best husband a son a woman could wish for.  Aaron has been at every turn encouraging me, assuring me that I can achieve anything, and listening when I needed to vent. As for Jordan, he lights my day, he is creative and proud, his beautiful innocence reminds me to enjoy today and live life to the fullest.  I aspire everyday to be a better person because of him.  I am the luckiest gal in the world to have them in my life, thank you both for allowing me to live my dream.
